22. 赤い復活祭

ソビエト時代に活躍し、20世紀後半のロシアを代表する作曲家の一人として知られるスヴィリードフ。この「讃歌と祈り」はロシア宗教作品の中でも最も重要な作品の一つに数えられています。作品は1980年に構想され、いくつかのスケッチが書かれましたが、これらの下案は1969年頃からあり、スヴィリードフはこれらをまとめるとともに、1988年から1992年にかけて大部分を完成させました。その後、1997年になって最初の3つの部分を編集、確定を行いましたが、結局完全な形にすることなく、1998年にスヴィリードフはこの世を去ってしまいました。このクリャーヴァとラトヴィア放送合唱団のアルバムでは第1部から第3部までの順序を見直し、更に第4部に「赤い復活祭」を含むその他の歌を収録。作品の真の姿を追求しています。
