COLCD 117として好評を得ていた「ファンシーズ」がリマスターを施され音質面でも注目の再リリース。アルバム・タイトルにもなっている「ファンシーズ」はヒコックス＆シティ・オブ・ロンドン・シンフォニアのために1971年に作曲された作品。「古風な組曲」はフルートとチェンバロ、弦楽合奏のための作品。フルートが主として書かれた作品であり、ラッターの宗教作品（合唱作品）以外の作品を知ることの出来る音源である。
