1965年創設のイギリスの老舗レーベル ""CRD""から、久しぶりとなる新録音が登場。18世紀前半のイギリスで絶大な存在感を放ったヘンデルから影響を受け、""ヘンデル後""を代表する作曲家の1人となったウィリアム・ヘイズ（1708-1777）。1741年から1777年までの間オックスフォード大学で音楽の教授を務めたヘイズは、オックスフォードのための様々なセレモニー音楽を遺しています。オックスフォード大学キーブル・カレッジの聖歌隊と、2014年に設立された古楽オーケストラ”インストゥルメンタル・オヴ・タイム＆トゥルース”（OAE、エンシェント室内管、イングリッシュ・バロック・ソロイスツ等のメンバーが参加）が、ジョージ王朝時代にオックスフォードの街を彩ったウィリアム・ヘイズの音楽を蘇らせます。
