ヴォーカルアンサンブル《EST》音楽監督(1992～)、やちまた混声合唱団常任指揮者（1993～）、名古屋大学医学部混声合唱団音楽トレーナー（2014～）。マルクトオーバードルフ（ドイツ2001）、アレッツォ（イタリア2006）、東京（2019）で催された国際コンクールにて最優秀指揮者賞を受賞。《EST》はトゥールで催された国際コンクールでグランプリを受賞（2009）するなど、国内外での多くのコンクールやフェスティバルで演奏を積む。“若い芽からのコーラスワークショップ”の主宰を始め、各地での客演指揮者、合唱講師、審査員などを務め、宝塚国際室内合唱コンクール委員会理事、JCDA日本合唱指揮者協会会員、２１世紀の合唱を考える会＝合唱人集団「音楽樹」会員として、音楽の広がりや深まりに向けて力を注いでいる。これまでにFritz ter Wey氏、Erdei Péter氏の指揮法クラスを受講。
Masao MUKAI
Masao Mukai is one of the founding members of Vocal Ensemble EST in 1992 and has been their Artistic Director and Conductor since. He was awarded the Best conductor prize at the 54th International Polyphonic Contest in Arezzo, Italy, in 2006, and also the Best conductor prize for interpretation of contemporary works at the 7th International Chamber Choir Competition in Marktoberdorf, Germany, in 2001.
